Conclusion

In this activity you have strategically chosen pieces of art that fit your needs in a given situation. You have created a plan to choose your works of art and developed collaborative skills to better work in a group. In your group you have shared experiences and reflected on artwork to present a clear and understandable presentation, and to present your arguement.

In your school career you may be asked to evaluate art in your art history, art, english, social studies, or even other classes. Hopefully this assignment has shown you what is important to you in a work of art and you can better understand and evaluate other pieces in the future. Consider these questions as a reflection to the assignement:

  • If you could chose more works of art which ones would you add?
  • If you could only chose works from the 20th century which works would chose?
  • If you were walking through a museum would you begin to look at the works more closely and evaluate the work by what it makes you feel?
  • Are your choices of art pieces affected by your budget?
  • If you were in a different setting or community, would you choose different pieces?
